Institutional partners

MScom’s institutional partners ensure the program’s close ties to the world of practicing communications professionals, a critical component of the well-rounded, executive level educational experience so highly valued by MScom participants and alumni.

Swiss Public Relations Institute (SPRI)

Swiss Public Relations Institute

As a founder of MScom, the Swiss Public Relations Institute’s leaders were among the first to envision a Swiss university based, post-graduate program for mid-career  communications managers, paving the way to the 1999 establishment of the Executive Master of Science in Communications Management program at the Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) in Lugano, Switzerland.

Founded in 1969, the SPRI provides undergraduate and continuing education opportunities for communications specialists, with emphasis on direct and practical experience. The SPRI takes a holistic approach to the training of communications practitioners, yielding an educational experience that is at once academic and practical. Concentrating on the Swiss communications sector, the SPRI conducts courses in Zurich, Berne, Lausanne and Geneva, and to date has produced more than 8,000 graduates. Its 120 lecturers represent a wide cross-section Swiss public relations practitioners, further strengthening SPRI’s vital link to the communications community.
